Pulled this baby off my right leg April 6th - not sure how long he has been hanging around -
Today’s Ride April 4th 2015 Caledonia State Park (on my Father-in-law’s 77th birthday) We rode what we would consider our regular loop backwards – meaning mostly ascending – lots of ascending! Jimmy T Potts, who we discovered would rather be called James – so for now on will be referred to as Jimmy James T Potts… As we approached the ride site after travelling through brilliant sunshine and the heart of Gettysburg PA Historic site I look off into the mountains and noticed what I would consider rain – sure enough a quick app check showed a fast moving storm that passed quickly. So as we started our ride (Rick Anderson, Jimmy James Potts and I) decided to pack a jacket – for rain but instead used the jacket for warmth – as the temps dropped and the wind increased. Just because the calendar says spring always prepare by knowing at least the expected forecast, that forecast might still be winter. At the bottom, where we usually start all rides is was very slippery – some beautiful green moss and algae laden fallen trees but as we climbed – and climbed – and climbed (over 2,000 feet of elevation gain in a 18 mile loop) that change as it usually does. One rare find was a uprooted tree that is featured at the end of the short “Today’s Ride” the larges one I’ve ever seen. Rick – Jim thanks for another great ride! Rick and I say thanks Trek for a great bike (both of us on ex650 b) Jimmy James on brand x 650b - all of us equally enjoyed the ride.
